Special Education Students
Larson Learning® supports the needs of 90% or more of children with IEPs or Section 504 plans and is also appropriate for children with exceptionally high ability, because it can respond to what they already know, allowing them to proceed at their own pace, under teacher supervision and control. Larson Learning® includes several features that research has identified effective in support students with special needs (NICHCY 2003):
Step-by-step presentation with frequent reinforcement and consistent feedback |
An emphasis on positive feedback with plenty of opportunity for practice |
A consistent and predictable learning environment |
Concrete examples and specific examples for every concept assessed |
